The Lancaster Volunteer Ambulance Corps is always seeking new members. LVAC responds to 3,500 calls annually and we couldn’t do it without the commitment and dedication of our volunteers.
Volunteering in the EMS field is very rewarding. Our members come from all different backgrounds. As volunteers, we give our time and skills so that our community may benefit.
Training, equipment and uniforms are provided. Prior experience in emergency medicine is not required but helpful. We welcome candidates interested in becoming a driver or dispatcher or who hold a valid emergency medical technician or paramedic license in New York State.
By becoming a member of the first volunteer ambulance service in Western New York, you join a proud tradition of community service that dates back to 1953. We ask that you volunteer at least 24 hours a month, attend regular training sessions and assist during special events.
To apply for membership, please fill out an application. Once the application is printed, fill it out completely. Any part of the document left unfilled will result in it being sent back to you and a delay in your membership. Please send the completed application to:
