Thanks to the generosity of passing motorists, LVAC members raised $692 for Women & Children's Hospital and other local children's charities on April 25 by selling special edition newspapers at Broadway & Transit in Depew.

Several people handed us $10 or even $20 for the $1 newspaper and told us to keep the change.

This year marked the 35th straight year of Buffalo News Kids Day. Since 1983, Kids Day contributions have totaled more than $4.6 million to help children across the region.

Volunteers were Mark Reinhard, Joe Popiolkowski, Chet Popiolkowski, Bill Revelas, Allison Revelas, Amy Revelas, Tim Marshall, Michelle Williams and Brian Foote. This was LVAC's 6th year participating in Kids Day and we've raised a total of $5,216:

2017 - $692.02

2016 - $803.85

2015 — $1,023.34

2014 — $876

2013 — $1,021.37

2012 — $800

A special thanks goes out to the Tim Hortons location at 5316 Transit Road in Depew for donating coffee and breakfast sandwiches to the volunteers!
